Hi, I’m Gianna!

I’ve always believed that old homes have stories to tell. Behind every weathered porch, handwritten deed, and faded family photograph is a history waiting to be uncovered. What started as researching my own home quickly became a passion for discovering the people, places, and moments that shaped the communities around us.

I’m a local history researcher with a passion for historic preservation, holding a master’s degree in Preservation Studies from Boston University and a bachelor’s degree in History from Suffolk University. My education gave me the tools to research historic places, interpret archival records, and understand how our built environments preserve the stories of those who came before us.

Today, I combine that background with a love of local history, architecture, genealogy, and the thrill of piecing together forgotten stories. Whether I’m combing through archives, comparing historic maps, or tracing the lives of a home’s former occupants, I’m always searching for the connections that bring the past back to life.

Echoes of a Home is where I share those discoveries. Here you’ll find the histories of homes, neighborhoods, and the people who made them home, along with insights into preservation and the research process itself.
